Dom Faulkner is best known for his leadership of EVERESTMAX, one of the most successful British expeditions in decades and the first to achieve the last great overland challenge.

Dom was born in the UK but spent his early years in Nigeria and India. After the early death of his father Dom was educated in the UK and studied Geology at Imperial College in London before spending several years with the Army and 21 SAS regiment. He used his time in the military to follow his love of parachuting, completing over a thousand jumps. He is a passionate cyclist and climber and his travels have taken him to all five continents and over sixty countries.

Dom is passionate about communicating his love of the outdoors. He uses his skills in film making and photography to bring his expeditions alive. His skill as a leader and communicator make him superbly qualified to bring these experiences to a wider audience.

Dom also works for Cheltenham College, one of the UK's top schools, as Director of Activities. He has responsibility for all extra-curricular activities and adventure sports. He regularly leads young people on expeditions across the globe.

He is a qualified teacher of Earth Sciences, a Winter Mountain Leader and Wilderness Medical technician.

Dom's love of film making began with his first visit to Everest in 2000 with the British Army. The project was filmed for TRANSWORLD sport with Dom recording much of the footage. The film was sold in support of Cancer Research UK. HRH Prince Charles was patron of Everest 2000.

The EVERESTMAX expedition was filmed by Dom with help from other team members. It was then edited into a 90 minute movie. The clip posted here is a five minute version of edited highlights.
